Sleep Apnea & Snoring Appliances

Custom oral appliances that treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, fitted by dentists trained in airway health.

Sleep is where the mouth and whole-body health meet. Untreated obstructive sleep apnea is linked to cardiovascular strain, daytime exhaustion, and cognitive effects. Dentists are often the first to spot the warning signs, from tooth grinding to airway anatomy.

As part of our Complete Health philosophy, our doctors have pursued training in airway and sleep dentistry. For patients diagnosed with snoring or sleep apnea, and always in partnership with your physician, we provide custom oral appliances: comfortable, quiet, travel-friendly devices that hold the airway open by gently positioning the jaw during sleep.

If you snore, wake up unrefreshed, or have given up on a CPAP you can’t tolerate, talk to us. There may be a more comfortable path.

Common questions

How can a dentist help with sleep apnea?

For many people with snoring or obstructive sleep apnea, a custom oral appliance that gently repositions the jaw during sleep can keep the airway open. Dentists trained in dental sleep medicine fit and adjust these appliances, working alongside your physician.

Do I need a sleep study first?

Yes. Sleep apnea is a medical diagnosis made by a physician, usually after a sleep study. Your doctor makes the diagnosis, and when oral appliance therapy is appropriate, we provide and fine-tune the appliance.

Is an oral appliance as good as a CPAP machine?

CPAP remains the gold standard for moderate-to-severe apnea, but oral appliances are an effective, well-tolerated option for many patients, especially those with mild-to-moderate apnea or who can’t tolerate CPAP. The right choice is made together with your physician.

What are the warning signs of sleep apnea?

Loud snoring, gasping during sleep, morning headaches, daytime exhaustion, and teeth grinding can all be signs. Mention them at your next visit. Airway screening is part of how we look at whole-body health.
