A family practice, in every sense
Thousand Oaks Family Dentistry began as Dr. Hong’s father’s practice. It’s the office she grew up around as a kid, and when he retired in 2011, she took over caring for his patients. Today she and Dr. Tapp continue what he started: independent, doctor-owned dentistry for our neighbors here in the Conejo Valley.
We’re not a corporate chain, and we like it that way. No quotas and no revolving door of dentists. Just two doctors and a close-knit team that families have trusted for two generations.

An office designed to put you at ease
Dental visits shouldn’t feel clinical and cold. Our office at 1000 Newbury Road, Suite 190, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320 is built around comfort, for nervous patients and fidgety kids alike.
Technology that earns its place
We invest in technology when it makes your visit genuinely better — more comfortable, more precise, or faster:
- Solea laser dentistry handles many procedures with no needle, no drill noise, and no numb lip afterward.
- CEREC same-day crowns are designed, milled, and placed in one visit.
- Gentle injection techniques. When numbing is needed, we take pride in making it easy.
- Digital X-rays and scanning. Comfortable, fast, and only when needed.
For families
We’re a family practice and the office shows it: kid-friendly touches, a patient team that explains things at every age level, and unhurried scheduling. One office, every generation.
