How can a crown be done in one day?
CEREC technology lets us take a digital scan of your tooth, design the crown on screen, and mill it from a solid ceramic block right in our office. You leave with your permanent crown the same day.
Are same-day crowns as strong as lab-made crowns?
CEREC crowns are milled from high-strength dental ceramics. We use proven materials like e.max and Katana, and they’re a well-established, durable restoration. In the specific situations where a lab-made crown is the better choice, we’ll recommend that instead.
Do I still need a temporary crown?
No, and skipping the temporary is one of the best parts. There’s no second visit, no second round of numbing, and no temporary to lose or break in between.
